JOB
Summary:
To oversee quality and efficiency of transportation assocites; equipment ultilization and maintenance; and adherence to CEVA policies, procedures and DOT regulations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA and CEVA requirements and regulations.
Provides instructions to hourly employees on proper material handling and work methodologies.
Monitors employee productivity and quality of work.
Provide instructions to drivers on routing and proper handling of materials.
Audit driver's logs and train staff to audit logs.
Conduct driver safety meetings.
Dispatch drivers on a variable schedule as needed.
Hire drivers that meet company and DOT requirements.
Write work instructions that are clear for the drivers to follow.
Ensures employees are following proper work snstructions in their assigned areas.
Responsible for housekeeping in assigned area.
Ensures employees are provided with appropriate tools to complete assignments.
Counsels and uses progressive corrective action processes when disciplining employees.
Remains current with changes and operating procedures within assigned areas.
Provides clear concise written and verbal communication to all personnel.
Provide hours of service training/counseling and FMCSR training to all associates.
Perform driver safety rides (process walk).
Knowledge, Experience & Skills: Essential Requirements
Education & Certifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management preferred; or an equivalent combination of education & work experience.
Experience
Two five years supervisory experience in a warehouse, distribution or manufacturing environment required.
Two five years working in the Transportation industry.
Specialist Knowledge & Skills
Thorough understanding of current DOT regulations.
Familiarity with FMCSR and DOT regulations.
Interpersonal & Communication Skills
Provides clear concise written and verbal communication to all personnel.
Ability to produce and make decisions in a highly fast pace and volatile environment.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
